Rapidly deployed web app for managing vaccinations in community pharmacy
In early 2020, the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia coincided with the annual flu vaccine season in community pharmacy.
Demand for vaccination surged as the community looked for ways to protect the most vulnerable, while pharmacies were faced with quickly evolving guidelines and regulations.
At the time there were few platforms available that offered a complete vaccination recording service for community pharmacy.
Within a matter of weeks, I designed, developed and deployed medbase Vaccinations, which enabled:
- SMS patient appointment reminders
- Contactless patient screening & consent
- Electronic recording of vaccination services
